ZAC SAPSFORD admits his latest European goal was one of the biggest of his career, but is hoping even greater things lie ahead for him and Dundee United.

- By Scott Burns

The Australian set up Max Watters for United’s first equaliser and then netted the second in Thursday’s 2-2 draw away to Rapid in Vienna.

The 22-year-old now has two goals in four European games against UNA Strassen and Rapid.

United will now aim to make full use of home advantage to see off the Austrians and book a Conference League playoff place against AIK Stockholm or ETO Gyor.

Sapsford, left, said: “It was a nice feeling and it is always nice to score in Europe. It was also a good result, so I am happy. It was a great ball from Ivan Dolcek and I just thought I would hit it first time.

“As soon as I hit it I knew it was in. There is no better feeling to be honest. It is definitely up there.

“Any goal is amazing, but to do it in a big game in Europe makes it even more special. The most important thing is that we know this tie is not over.
