William's '£80,000 in a week' from holiday lets

PRINCE William could be raking in nearly £80,000 per week from holiday cottages in the Duchy of Cornwall during the peak summer season.

From rural retreats in Truro and St Tudy to seaside escapes on the Isles of Scilly, the 33 sites are a huge draw for visitors. With each rented for a seven-day stretch in August it would bring in an estimated £76,000.

One week before schools restart ranges from £935 at Hoopers cottage to £7,060 for a group of 16 staying at the Loskeyle Collection.

Restormel Manor, where William sometimes stays, costs £4,742 for three nights in August and £6,775 for seven. ‘Tamarisk,’ which is fully booked, was where his parents Charles and Diana stayed.

Several homes were created from disused farm buildings and many are rated dog-friendly.
