WITH the UK basking in a sizzling summer heatwave, switching on the central heating might sound like madness.
However, according to one boiler expert, firing it up for just a few minutes could save households up to £3,000 in repair bills this coming autumn.
Ben Price, co-founder of boiler supplier Heatable, warns that leaving your boiler idle all summer is a common but costly mistake.
