Who will call the tune at pipe band worlds?

GLASGOW Green was alive with the skirl of the pipes yesterday as the 2025 World Pipe Band Championships got underway.
It is the 77th time the contest has been staged in the city, with around 7,000 competitors and 35,000 spectators expected over the two days.
Some 207 bands are taking part from 15 countries as far afield as Australia and New Zealand, Oman and Zimbabwe.
Organisers say around 32 miles of tartan will be worn by competitors, with the pipers and drummers resplendent in kilts and Glengarry bonnets.
