We have got to tame Lions in drop battle

RYAN ASTLEY is confident Dundee can give themselves a major boost in their basement battle with Livingston next weekend.

The Dark Blues have lost their last two, against Celtic and Aberdeen, but played well and could have taken something from both.

But the defeats have left them 11th in the table and this Saturday they make the trip to bottom side Livi, who are four points worse off on eight.

Astley, who scored in the 3-1 loss to the Reds, said: “We know it's a massive game. I feel like, once this settles down, we'll go over it and realise we actually played good stuff.

“We'll take that into it and we'll be looking to come away with three points, definitely.

“It feels like just that finishing touch is what's missing.

“We had a few chances and on another day they go in. But you've got to make your own luck in this game.
