Victim took photos of thug brandishing gun

A BRAVE woman managed to photograph a man clutching a shotgun which he had held at her head.

It happened after Gary Strachen flew into a ragein a row over just £30.

The 46-year-old left the woman in tears when he stormed into a bedroom at a property in Glasgow and brandished the firearm at her.

But despite her fear, she managed to snap him holding the weapon on her mobile phone.

Argument

The photos led to his arrest and yesterday at the High Court in Glasgow he was jailed for more than five years.

The woman was known to Strachen and he had been at her flat in the city’s Scotstoun area in August last year.

Previously, the victim had called her mother asking for a loan of £30.

She agreed but made an error in transferring the cash.
