GARY Lineker will focus on his multi-million-pound podcast empire after an emotional exit from Match of the Day, sources have revealed.
The ex-England star’s media firm Goalhanger Podcasts last year made a £1.4million profit as its shows rose in popularity.
Lineker signed off MotD on Sunday night after 26 years, saying it had been an “absolute privilege” and “utterly joyous”.
A source said: “This isn’t the end of Gary. He isn’t the type to go quietly into retirement. Goalhanger has been a huge success...and he has other things he wants to do.”
