EVEN light exercise such as casual walking, shopping or doing household chores can slash the risk of developing cancer, a study found.

Take steps to cut cancer risk with a stroll or a spring clean

Oxford University researchers said data showed people with the highest levels of daily physical activity were 26% less likely to suffer from it. And even gentle daily movement made a difference, with more moderate activity linked to a 13% lower risk and light activity 6%.

Increasing the increasing daily steps, engaging in light activity, or incorporating moderate-to-vigorous exercise, any level of physical activity appears to contribute to lower cancer risk."
