A ZOO had a purr-fect surprise as a snow leopard cub was born at its site for the first time in its 94-year history.
Chester Zoo shared images of the baby taking her first steps outside after den cams showing her snuggling with mum after birth went viral, captivating animal lovers globally.
Born to proud parents Nubra and Yashin, the 10-week-old female cub spent her early weeks tucked away with mum. But she has now been seen venturing out to explore the site's Himalayan habitat.
Her name was revealed as Bheri, a nod to the cub's mountain origins, with Bheri a river in Nepal that runs through the Himalayas.
