Shocking truth over appalling SNP record

SOONER or later, all governments face a reckoning. If there is any justice, an examination of the SNP’s disastrous record will result in them getting the drubbing they richly deserve at the Holyrood elections, which are less than a year away. But for now, parliament has moved into recess for the summer, and they’ll be hoping for a break from awkward questions about their abysmal decisions.

Unfortunately for the nationalists, this time last week the chickens came home to roost early.

The SNP had a shocker of a day, when official statistics delivered what can only be described as a catastrophic verdict on their time in office.

We've become depressingly used to the NHS performance figures published on Tuesdays being poor, and targets never being met.
