GREGORTOWNSEND praised his Scotland players for showing their "true identity" after they rounded off their Pacific Tour with an emphatic victory over Samoa.
There were tries by seven different Scots - Ewan Ashman, Rory Hutchinson, Arron Reed, Kyle Steyn, Grant Gilchrist, Kyle Rowe and George Turner - at Eden Park in Auckland.
The Samoans landed two second-half tries to reduce the defecit.
Scotland had followed up their win over the Maori All Blacks in New Zealand with an ill-disciplined 29-14 defeat to Fiji in Suva last weekend.
