SCHEFFLER DOWN...BUT NOT YET OUT
Scottish Daily Express
|June 14, 2025
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER insisted he is not out of US Open contention, despite being at least seven shots behind the leader at the halfway stage.

On Friday the 13th, the world No.1’s second round at Oakmont at times resembled a horror show as he hit five bogeys - and four birdies - in a one-over-par 71 to finish the day four over.
Scheffler has won three of his past four tournaments, including the US PGA Championship, but his usual composure went out of the window as he grew frustrated.
He threw his arms out, hitting the club against the grass while yelling, “Gosh, dang it!” in anger after bogeys on the 15th and 17th holes.
But the Oakmont course is chewing top players up and spitting them out - and the American reckons it could still bite plenty of people higher up the leaderboard.
