Sailor's letter from WW2 could hold secret to Nessie

THE mystery of the Loch Ness Monster may finally be solved after new evidence reveals the Royal Navy may have caught a sea serpent there during World War Two.

The unheard-of wartime encounter only came to light after a man unearthed letters sent to his late sailor grandad from Nessie investigators.

Lewis Tyler, who served aboard HMS Ocean Swell laying antisubmarine nets, is said to have had a major incident when temporarily catching a sea serpent in his gear during an operation at the famous loch.
