Catherine helps celebrate World Cup win with team
THE PRINCESS of Wales was the definition of a true English rose yesterday when she welcomed England's women's rugby team to Windsor Castle for a reception to celebrate their World Cup win.
Channelling the team's Red Roses nickname, Catherine was a vision in red as she hosted the players and team staff who won the Women's Rugby World Cup last September in a 33-13 win over Canada.
As patron of the Rugby Football Union (RFU), Catherine's love of the sport is well-known, and she looked thrilled to receive a signed jersey.
After a tour of the castle, the group showed the Princess the trophy, providing one of the highlights of the reception.
