In 2022, Nelson and her teammates were at a World Cup for the first time in a dozen years.

Looking back, the 31-year-old Loughborough Lightning standoff thinks there was maybe too much emphasis on the achievement of just reaching the finals in New Zealand and not enough on getting results once they were there.
