Plea to protect young kickboxers after boy dies

A CORONER has urged the Government to introduce protection for children in unsanctioned combat sports after a 15-year-old died.
Kickboxer Alex Eastwood suffered a seizure and a devastating brain bleed after a bout last summer.
Manchester coroner Michael Pemberton said more children could be killed due to a lack of regulation as unofficial matches have no minimum standards to prevent youngsters getting hurt.
