Jambos boss backs Burkina Faso hero to make an impact

- BY DARREN JOHNSTONE

DEREK MCINNES insists it is only a matter of time before history maker Landry Kabore shines for Hearts following his goal scoring exploits for his country.

The striker netted a hat-trick for Burkina Faso in last Sunday's World Cup 3-1 qualifying victory over Ethiopia.

And in doing so the 24-year-old became the first ever Hearts player to grab three goals in one game at full international level.

That achievement earned Kabore a round of applause from teammates when he walked into the Oriam training base on Wednesday.

And after only managing two outings since joining from Estonian outfit Narva Trans during the summer, Kabore is feeling good about himself as he finally bids to get his Hearts career up and running.

McInnes, inset, who did not even have the player in his squad for the derby win over Hibs in their last outing, said: "The first Hearts player to score an international hat-trick, which is brilliant.
