Jambo Findlay striving for a return to Scotland scene

STUART FINDLAY is hoping being at Hearts can help propel him back into the Scotland squad.

The defender’s goalscoring debut outing in a 6-0 European Championship qualifying win against San Marino nearly six years ago remains his sole appearance for his country.

That came during his only permanent spell as a Kilmarnock player and the 29-year-old still harbours hopes of adding to his cap tally.

Of the current Hearts squad, Craig Gordon, Zander Clark, Lawrence Shankland and, most recently, teenager James Wilson, have all been involved with Scotland.

And Findlay, a summer loan recruit from Oxford, would love to follow in their footsteps.
