Novak banishes his Federer curse as bid for No.25 on track

NOVAK DJOKOVIC was relieved to overcome his Roger Federer curse as well as the challenge of Alex de Minaur and keep alive his dream of winning a record 25th Grand Slam singles title.
Federer took his seat in the Royal Box to watch his old rival produce an inspired fightback on Centre Court.
Djokovic came back from losing the first set 6-1 to seal a 16th quarterfinal at SW19.
The 38-year-old had lost the previous two matches when Federer had been looking on from the sidelines.
And the Serb admitted he would have loved to possess some of the deft skills Federer once showed to avoid such a tough clash against his Australian opponent.
Djokovic said: "This is probably the first time when he has been watching me that I have won the match.
"The last couple of times I lost, so it's good to break the curse.
