Nats’ oath objection branded ‘shameless’

SNP MSPs have been branded “petty” and told to focus on the day job after backing a bid to drop the oath of allegiance to King Charles in Holyrood.
Elected politicians to Holyrood take an oath to the monarchy before getting to work.
But backbench SNP MSP Kevin Stewart has submitted a motion calling for Scotland to follow the Caribbean island of Grenada and scrap this, and instead pledge allegiance to “the people of Scotland and not an unelected monarch”.
