THE first music festival aimed at tradespeople is set to celebrate the hardworking sector — after 100 of them have built a stage and site.

- By Paul Jeeves

FixFest was put together by Fix Radio and bosses hope to lay the foundations for an annual event aimed at brickies, sparks, chippies and plumbers.

They have nailed the lineup as the headliner is rapper and trained plasterer Dizzee Rascal. He will be joined at the South of England Showground in Ardingly, West Sussex, on Saturday, August 30 by Scouting for Girls, Toploader, The Cuban Brothers and top tribute band Noasis.

There will be bars, food — including fry-ups and builder's tea - plus lots of attractions for kids.
