Murder probe launched after missing Graham's remains found at loch

A MURDER probe has been launched after human remains were found ata lochside beauty spot.

The confirmation came four days after the grim discovery was made by amember of the public.

Yesterday, police confirmed that the remains were those of Graham Wright, 38, who was reported missing last month in Glasgow.

The discovery was made on the west bank of Loch Lomond.

Detectives said they are especially keen to speak to anyone who may have been on a boat in the area and noticed anything suspicious over the past weeks.

The alarm was raised last Saturday lunchtime by a walker at Rubha Dubh, near Firkin Point.

It is not known if the body was complete or if there had been attempts to dismember it to try to stop identification.

Nor has it been disclosed how Mr Wright was killed or when.

Police will be scanning CCTV and automatic number plate recognition cameras to see if they can pick up the movements of any vehicles captured making the 38-mile drive north from Glasgow’s southside, where Mr Wright was last seen, to the place where his remains were found.

Experts in soil, insects and local weather will be part of the investigation team.
