MUM PICTURED HOURS BEFORE VANISHING
Scottish Daily Express
|August 07, 2025
A NEW image of a Scots woman at the centre of a mystery disappearance from a Greek beach shows her just hours before she vanished.
Michele Ann Joy Bourda has not been seen since last Friday when she was relaxing on a sunbed in Greece. Her husband told police he was asleep alongside her and when he woke his wife was nowhere to be seen.
Now, a new photograph of the couple has been released in a renewed effort to find the 59-year-old.
Mrs Bourda is understood to have moved to Crookston in Glasgow as her son is studying at a university in the city.
Her Greek-born husband also relocated to the city.
In the hours leading up to her disappearance, the mother had been swimming at a beach in the city of Kavala in northern Greece, about 150 miles east Thessaloniki.
She was later pictured with her husband Christos at a nearby snack bar just three hours before she vanished.
Mrs Bourda was wearing a darkcoloured swimming costume and had on a pair of sunglasses.
She is pictured chatting to her husband who is wearing a white cap.
The Greek missing persons' charity Lifeline Hellas has issued a Silver Alert following the disappearance.
