Mugger jailed for attack on lone OAP, 86

A THUG who robbed an 86-year-old woman as she walked home alone from church has been jailed for two years.

Abel Ghebrehiwret is a serial handbag thief who preys on lone women, especially the elderly.
The 29-year-old targeted Joan Hay as she walked through Possilpark in north Glasgow in June. He grabbed the OAP’s bag so hard that the strap broke off.
The callous thief fled with the bag which he abandoned but kept the purse containing £150.
