LENNON'S A CHIP OFF THE BOLD BLOCK
Scottish Daily Express
|March 19, 2025
JOHN MCGINN has no problem with Lennon Miller's bold prediction that he could become Scotland's best player - because he reckons the Motherwell midfielder should be looking to nick his place in the team in the coming years.
Miller, above, and Hearts striker James Wilson, both aged just 18, are hoping to give the Tartan Army a glimpse of the future after joining up with Steve Clarke's squad for the first time.
Last week the Fir Park prodigy claimed he could be "the best player there in a couple of months".
And McGinn, capped 73 times, said: "He was probably thinking, 'Why did I say that?' - but I said plenty of stupid things when I was coming through at St Mirren.
"At the same time, they're not here to make up the numbers. They're here to take our places if, eventually, they're better than the ones who are here and we no longer get called up.

Bake up a storm this bank holiday
A long weekend calls for a little time spent in the kitchen, and what better excuse to get baking?
