Former captain and interim boss Ferguson backs Aussie to lead Gers back to glory days
BARRY FERGUSON last night hailed Kevin Muscat as a natural born winner after the Aussie agreed to become the next manager of Rangers.
The Ibrox heirarchy have held successful negotiations over the past 48 hours with the current Shanghai Port boss, and a broad agreement over a long-term contract has now been thrashed out.
But Muscat won't be in place for tomorrow's home Premiership clash with Dundee United, with Under-19s coach Steven Smith in charge for the first game since the sacking of Russell Martin.
