Mum Emma Loveheart's chilling premonition about a family holiday going horribly wrong led to unexpected heartbreak - and set her on a surprising new path
It was a crisp day as Emma Loveheart walked her dog Kodi in the woods. The mother-of-two was thinking about an upcoming family holiday to Austria when she felt an unexplained sense of dread.
She told herself not to be silly and that it would be a great trip. The getaway was in three months and Emma, 55, an HR consultant, still had to organise plane tickets and the hotel.
"I convinced myself it was the stress of the arrangements making me feel negative about the holiday," she says.
Life moved on, and Emma was kept busy looking after daughters Ailsa, then 12, and Clarice, 10.
But a month later, at a friend's house, she had another odd feeling about the holiday.
VISION
"I was chatting to Anna about travel arrangements - we were going on the trip together," explains Emma.
"Suddenly, I felt that weird sensation again. I told Anna: I've a strange feeling about this trip. Something's not right'. I thought she would laugh."
Instead, Anna replied, "I know, I can feel it too."
Yet Emma, from Newbury, Berkshire - who has since changed her attitude to believing all things mystic - still shrugged off the premonition thinking she was just feeling worried.
"I didn't know about the power of the universe," says Emma. "Back then I wasn't interested in the spiritual world, I thought it was bonkers. I wasn't even religious."
The trip was booked for February and as the date approached the feeling of dread became stronger.
