PSG keeper breaks Anfield hearts in shootout drama

- By Chris McKenna

ITALIAN JOB SINKS POOL

GIANLUIGI DONNARUMMA broke Liverpool hearts last night as the PSG keeper saved two penalties in a dramatic shoot-out finale to send Arne Slot's side crashing out.

Ousmane Dembele had put the visitors back on level terms, as this Champions League cracker went to extra-time last night.

But it all came down to spot-kicks, and the giant Italian keeper spread his frame to save from Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones, while Desire Doue fired home the decisive penalty.

It was another epic European encounter under the lights at Anfield.

Yet the Reds will wonder how they did not win this tie in normal time.

They were the better side but failed to convert their chances after surviving some first-half scares.

Dembele's 12th-minute strike after a defensive mix-up between Ibrahima Konate and Alisson set this had given him sleepless nights, as he up to be a blockbuster battle.

Online's fine for wine with these tips

BUYING wine online can be just as daunting as walking into a shop. That was the conclusion of a recent article in Decanter magazine. And they’re not wrong. If anything, I find the endless choice, plus variations in the information available, even more daunting. At least in a traditional bricks-and-mortar shop, you can ask for help or pick up the bottle and read the label!
