INXS manager's £14m divorce fight with ex and estranged mum

Family feud over secret gift to son-in-law

A FORMER rock band manager, her SAS Major ex-husband and her estranged multimillionaire mum who "hates" her are locked in a £14million divorce court fight.

Australian former INXS manager turned wealthy businesswoman Maria-Christina Copinger-Symes married British SAS Major James Copinger-Symes, 57, in 1998 and set up home with their four children in a house in Chelsea, London, estimated to be worth more than £3m.

Ms Copinger-Symes, 54, is part of the Perez De La Sala dynasty, which made its £550m-plus fortune in shipping down under.

But for years she has been an outcast and was even banned from her dad's funeral in 2022.

Her mum, Felicite Perez De La Sala, and three siblings' feelings towards her have been described by a judge as being ones of “hate” after a court battle in Singapore over family wealth.

The couple split in 2022, with the wife agreeing a court order under which she would pay her ex £1.2m, leaving her with £5.25m.

But the family is backing the ex-husband after the wife learned her parents had secretly gifted him around £27.6m of family money after they split.
