Horne warning Scots about wounded hosts

SCOTLAND will have to make at least three changes for Saturday's game against Wales after it was confirmed that Jack Dempsey, Jamie Dobie and Jamie Ritchie have all dropped out of the squad through injury.

No.8 Dempsey injured a bicep in the 31-20 win against England last Saturday. His Glasgow teammate Dobie, who was on the wing but can also play at scrumhalf, has an arm injury. And Perpignan forward Ritchie has knee damage.

All three have now gone back to their clubs to be assessed further. And last night Scotland assistant coach Pete Horne (above) admitted they were unlikely to play again in this year's Six Nations.

He said: “It's looking that way, which is unfortunate. If there is an outside chance of them getting back involved, then great, they'll link back up with us in the last week or so.

“But I can't see it, to be honest.

“It's a brutal game, Test-match rugby. Jack actually summed it up really well in the first week.
