O'Neill tempers expectation on Cvancara
MARTIN O'NEILL admits he's thrilled to bag Tomas Cvancara - but insists the hitman is not the silver bullet that will save Celtic's season.
The 25-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach frontman is finalising a loan deal until the end of term.
Celtic will have an option to make the move permanent - for a fee understood to be around £7million.
O'Neill is ready to launch the 6ft 3ins striker into the side to face Hearts on Sunday but the Celtic boss is adamant his squad needs more new arrivals to tool up for the title fight.
Express Sport understands Celts have made an approach for Crystal Palace for £8m-rated wide man Jesurun Rak-Sakyi but it's a move more likely to be later in the window with Stoke City also in the frame.
Celtic have also been linked with RB Leipzig midfielder Xaver Schlager and Dunajska Streda attacker Damir Redzic but it's believed both are behind other targets.
