Goodwin's touting Graham to be the next new face in Clarke's Scotland squad

'ROSS IS PERFECT PROFILE FOR A MODERN-DAY CENTRE-BACK'
JIM GOODWIN reckons Ross Graham should be pushing for a Scotland call-up and hopes Steve Clarke has the Dundee United defender earmarked for a first cap.
The 6ft 3ins stopper headed a 75th-minute winner as United edged Ross County in Dingwall last Sunday to all but secure a top-six finish.
It was Graham's fifth goal of the campaign, but Goodwin reckons it's at the other end where the 24-year-old Tannadice academy product has excelled in the meanest Premiership defence outwith the Old Firm.
John Souttar, Grant Hanley, Scott McKenna, Jack Hendry and Kieran Tierney have been Clarke's go-to Scotland centre-backs in recent years.
But United boss Goodwin believes Graham who won three Under-21 caps in 2022 has what it takes to be muscling in on the top squad.
"It's absolutely something Rossco should have in the back of his mind," said the Irishman, inset.
