Gender row lawyer suing vets denies 'fat dog' abuse
Scottish Daily Express
|June 20, 2025
A LAWYER who is suing for £25,000 after she was branded “rude and difficult” and banned by her vet's has denied she saw red when told her dog was too fat.
Ex-defence barrister Allison Bailey was “expelled” from Palmerston Veterinary Group in Walthamstow, East London, in January 2023 for “unacceptable” behaviour. One worker said she had “never had to deal with such a rude client ever”.
But Ms Bailey, who became friends with JK Rowling over their shared gender-critical beliefs, claims the real reason she was ousted was over those views. She claims there was no justification for deregistering her — nor any basis for complaints about her alleged overbearing conduct and wants £25,000 compensation.
