Gazza tells friends he is on mend after collapse

PAUL GASCOIGNE has told friends he is on the road to recovery following his latest collapse.
The 58-year-old Rangers and England legend was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious at his home near Poole, Dorset, on Friday evening.
He was discovered semi-conscious by his friend, personal assistant and driver Steve Foster. But the star told friends: "I'm fine". And he is said to be on the road to recovery.
He had been expected to remain in hospital for treatment for several days but he may be allowed to leave earlier.
"He has told friends that he is fine and feeling better," said a source close to Gascoigne.
"He has been doing well so this was an unexpected setback. He had three months without alcohol over the summer while he was doing various speaking engagements. He looked really well."
