It’s been top of the second home list for decades but now that the county has doubled its council tax for holiday properties and increased planning permission restrictions to encourage more primary residence homes, perhaps now is a good time to move there full-time?

Prices in Cornwall have dipped since the council tax penalty began to take effect, with some second home owners selling up to produce what John Bray Estates’ Josephine Ashby describes as “a calmer buyers’ market”.
