Fiend lobs acid in the eyes of street cat Bert

TRAGIC Bert the cat desperately needs an operation so he can shut his eyes after he was the victim of an acid attack.

He was found on the streets of Windsor, Berks, in a pitiful state and taken in by charity Protected Paws.

Vets were forced to attempt surgery so he could blink and close his eyes.

But the operation failed because there was not enough flesh and he has since been blighted by ulcers.
