Fears for Brit OAPs jailed by Taliban

CONCERN is growing for two elderly Britons imprisoned without charge by the Taliban for almost six months.

UN experts worry Peter Reynolds, 80, and his wife Barbie, 76, could die in custody in Afghanistan.

The couple, who have been in the country since 2009, ran training projects. They were picked up on February 1.

They spent months in Afghanistan’s most notorious prison, then in an underground cell.

Peter was chained, shackled and beaten, describing it as “the nearest thing to hell I can imagine”.
