NIGEL Farage has hit back at Labour claims he is soft on Vladimir Putin by urging NATO to shoot down intruder Russian jets. In his strongest condemnation of the Kremlin hardman to date, Mr Farage accused Putin of not being "rational", adding: "The idea that I'm soft on this is just nonsense.

He criticised the tyrant for failing to engage with Donald Trump's Ukraine war peace efforts, branding him “a very bad dude”.
The Reform UK leader said: “I was really hoping that Trump would bring Putin to heel, that some kind of compromise could be struck... That is not going to happen.
