Educating Yorkshire goes back to school
Scottish Daily Express
|August 29, 2025
EDUCATING Yorkshire is back on TV following an 11-year break — but only after producers obeyed the teachers.
Staff at Dewsbury’s Thornhill Community Academy agreed to the return of the Channel 4 documentary, on the condition that “the kids come first”.
English teacher Matthew Burton is still there — but is now head of the 11 to 16 school. Assistant head Melanie Delaney-Hudson said she agreed to filming only after assurances.
