Doctor tells rape trial of 'stranger attack in alley'

A DOCTOR was raped by a “stranger” in a city centre doorway during the early hours, a court has heard.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons was giving evidence at the trial of Mihai-Nicolae Patran.
The 32-year-old is said to have grabbed the woman, pulling her into a doorway and stopping her from leaving. He is accused of raping and injuring her.
The 27-year-old doctor gave evidence from behind a screen at the High Court in Glasgow.
She said that she had moved to Glasgow not long before the time of the alleged rape, the date being November 26, 2023.
