DEREK MCINNES is set to hold talks with Lawrence Shankland in a bid to convince the Hearts captain to stay at Tynecastle.
It is also understood the incoming Jambos manager wants Kilmarnock loan defender Stuart Findlay to be one of his first summer signings.
McInnes plans to make Shankland's contractual situation his priority from day one in the job.
McInnes will be officially appointed as Neil Critchley's successor at the start of next week and it's expected one his first acts will be to sanction a bumper new offer to the Scotland striker, above, who is able to leave the club as a free agent this summer.
