Crime mastermind who fled to Brazil jailed for 10 years

A CRIME boss who spent 14 years on the run after being identified as the mastermind behind a luxury car theft and £3.7m drugs empire, has been jailed.
Mark Witchell fled the UK in 2011 after failing to appear at court and hid out in Brazil.
But the gangster was arrested when he attempted to sneak back into the UK through Holyhead Port in August 2025.
He was jailed for 10 years after being sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent crown court on Tuesday.
