Council parking fee for 'private' streets

RESIDENTS on two unadopted streets are furious at having to pay the council £35 to park outside their homes despite the roads not being owned by the local authority.
They insist the charge should be axed unless officials fork out for maintenance, including fixing the potholes.
Gripe
Ryan Firth, 42, who lives on Balfour Street in Bingley, West Yorks, said: "I don't think we're being unreasonable. What are we getting back for our £35? The permits used to be free.
