Cops dish out a warning to mob attack teenagers

THE masked mob who battered four boys in an apparently unprovoked attack have been warned by police: "We will be chapping your door."

And the youngsters involved in the horrific incident have been advised that their behaviour could have significant consequences for their future.

One of the victims needed surgery due to the battering and another was slashed with a bottle.

The violence erupted last Thursday evening in Fife when the boys were heading home after a day at the beach.

A group of six teenagers were confronted by a mob of up to 30, many of whom were masked or wearing balaclavas, on Pettycur Road in Kinghorn, not far from the popular Pettycur Bay beach.
