'Clown' Boris says thanks Nicola for saving the Union
Scottish Daily Express
|September 04, 2025
NICOLA Sturgeon has been lavished with praise by one of her fiercest critics — for helping to save the Union.
The former leader of the SNP will likely have been bristling at yesterday's comments by Boris Johnson.
His riposte to the woman who once dubbed him a “f****** clown” came at a question-and-answer session in Edinburgh.
Asked about his relationship with the former First Minister, former PM Johnson bragged: “I won’t hear a word against her.
“Thanks to Nicola, I think the Union is safe for a long time.
“The dogs barked. The caravan moved on.”
During lockdown, Ms Sturgeon became infamous during the pandemic for her doom-laden daily sermons.
It was Mr Johnson who famously led the UK through the Covid-19 pandemic, helping to secure vaccines for the country way ahead of many other nations.
