Major animal welfare charities say they're bad for the moggies
ANIMAL welfare charities have demanded cat cafes are banned because the moggies often have a “poor quality of life”.
The RSPCA and Cats Protection said the felines are likely to be stressed by being so close to other cats and being stroked by strangers.
They warn that those in cafes in shopping centres never see daylight or breathe fresh air.
There are also fears some cats won't be eating enough due to competition for resources. Others are left in “incredibly small” pens overnight, the charities say.
