The steering is vague, and the hybrid powertrain's transition between petrol and electric is clunky.

Then there's the lacklustre automatic transmission which can't decide which gear to be in when pulling out at junctions.

AND THE LOOK?

It features an SUV body with a coupe-like rear end for sportiness. At the front there's a pronounced chevron logo. Chunky lower black plastic mouldings on the side profile give it a rugged look.

At the back, the rear spoiler does affect visibility while improving its style. Our test car's dull shade of Eclipse Blue made the overall design a little more anonymous. A brighter colour choice would liven it up.
