Chef's done up like kipper

SO, LET'S get this right. Over 20 years, MasterChef’s Gregg Wallace dropped his pants in front of frightened women on numerous occasions. He talked dirty to others using sexually explicit and inappropriate language. The BBC knew about his scummy behaviour for years — but did nothing. Finally, when it could ignore the tsunami of complaints no longer — it let the show’s production company sack him.

However, it has now sacked John Torode, who is an entirely different story. Eight years ago, John — one of the most decent blokes on telly — is alleged to have repeated the N-word from the Kanye West song, Gold Digger, at an after-work party which, at the time, offended no one. No complaint was ever made. And John says he can’t remember saying it.

But fast forward nearly a decade and, because it now suits the corporation, which is desperately trying to save its cash cow, MasterChef, it has brutally fired Torode from the show that he, in SPITE of the idiot Wallace, made hugely successful during his 20 years hosting it.

Am I missing something here? This is our state broadcaster which took a year to sack the pervert Huw Edwards (and continued to pay his £475,000 salary throughout his suspension) and which has done zilch in terms of internal sackings over allowing scumbags Vylan to sing Death to Jews at Glastonbury in front of Director-General Tim Davie and literally hundreds of other BBC staff.
