On-loan Pars hitman Thomas wants to follow his fellow Robin by flying to the very top like Semenyo
OLLY THOMAS got his first glimpse of the big time after Bristol City sold Antoine Semenyo to Bournemouth.
Now the on-loan Robins' frontman is dreaming of following the Ghana international's path to the top after hitting his first goals for Dunfermline to dump Aberdeen out of the Scottish Cup.
Three years ago an 18-year-old Thomas was recalled from a loan spell at Bath City to sit on the bench for Bristol in FA Cup ties against West Brom and Manchester City following Semenyo's £10m move to the Cherries.
And after watching his old teammate go on to clinch a £64m move to City last summer, Thomas admits he has mega ambitions for his own career when he returns to Ashton Gate from Fife at the end of this season.
Before then though he can't wait for a first ever taste of Hampden after helping send holders Aberdeen spinning out of the cup with a superb double.
The 20-year-old said: “Yeah, it was unreal to get my first two goals for the club and get to Hampden.
“I'm looking forward to it. It's just a massive step in my career.
“I've never played in a national stadium. This will be the first time, so surreal. Three years ago I was on the bench against Manchester City in the FA Cup.
