Brothers beat prostate cancer at same hospital

TWO brothers are celebrating beating prostate cancer after being diagnosed within weeks of each other — and treated by the same hospital doctor.
Glenn Wood, 61, got the devastating news last September following a blood test. He told older brother Russell, 66, who was shocked to be diagnosed too, even though he had no symptoms.
Dr Maria Serra at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust, a specialist cancer centre in Manchester, is hopeful that neither will need further treatment.
Married Glenn went to his GP because he had been going to the toilet several times a night, even when he had drunk few fluids.
